Trump Talks With Saudi Arabia’s MBS

Former President Donald Trump recently spoke over the phone with Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The Times was unaware of what the two discussed. However, the timing of the call comes amid the Biden administration’s structuring of a reported peace plan in the Middle East.

Reuters reported Wednesday that White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan was planning a trip to Saudi Arabia this week but had to postpone due to a cracked rib.

The injury “has affected his ability to travel,” White House spokesman John Kirby said. “This was a minor accident of his own. It was not caused by anybody. It was not the result of a nefarious act.”

Kirby did not provide a rescheduled date for Sullivan’s trip.

Information from Reuters was used in this report.
