WATCH: Mark Cuban Rages Over Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover: ‘X Is A Cesspool’ – Trump News Today

Billionaire entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban threw a temper tantrum about Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, which he later re-branded to X, during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast. Cuban labelled X — where he has frequently clashed with users and even Musk himself over the merit of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies — as a “cesspool,” adding that he still enjoys Instagram.

“X is just such a cesspool now,” Cuban said. Paul’s co-host, Mike Majlak, immediately agreed with the statement, calling Musk’s platform a “sh** show.”

“It’s a sh** hole, right? You can’t win no matter what. Everything like…. less and less time. Elon fu**ed that sh** up badly,” Cuban continued as Paul and Majlak nodded in agreement. “But, you know, Instagram’s still chill, TikTok’s still chill, and there’s other places, right, that aren’t so bad where you can mess with people and have fun. But you just can’t do it on Twitter.”

Majlak then chimed in to say that the conversation surrounding X is important, adding that “the conversation around like, real radical free speech, continues to like carry on here.”

“I mean, that’s kind of what you have there,” he said.

Cuban has found himself clashing with X users over the merits of DEI policies in recent weeks, at times clashing with Musk directly.

“Good businesses look where others don’t, to find the employees that will put your business in the best possible position to succeed. You may not agree, but I take it as a given that there are people of various races, ethnicities, orientation, etc that are regularly excluded from hiring consideration,” Cuban wrote in response to a critique of DEI from Musk, who stated that “discrimination on the basis of race, which DEI does, is literally the definition of racism.”

“By extending our hiring search to include them, we can find people that are more qualified. The loss of DEI-Phobic companies is my gain,” he continued.

Cuban was met with thousands of replies from X users pointing out that numerous major companies have effectively instituted hiring quotas on the basis of race. Many cited a Bloomberg analysis that found that 94 percent of S&P 100 corporate jobs went to “people of color” in 2021.

Others asked why Cuban does not apply DEI policies to his NBA team, a league predominantly comprised of black players.

Cuban has continued to frequently clash with X users and Musk in recent weeks, while the latter has referred to him as an “insufferable tool.”
