Attorney Alina Habba was asked during an appearance on Newsmax TV about whether she thinks her professional future will be harmed in any way after representing former President Donald Trump.

Following a $355 million award from a New York judge in a case that state Attorney General Letitia James brought against Trump, which is in addition to $100 million in interest for fraud, Habba made an appearance on the network this week.

Judge Arthur Engoron had previously ruled Trump and his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, as well as the Trump Organization, were guilty of fraud by overestimating the value of their assets to get better loan rates.

“What would you say to Letitia James if you ran into her on the street and you weren’t a lawyer in this case?” asked Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty.

“If I wasn’t a lawyer in this case? I was a normal person?” Habba responded.

“You’re just Aline Habba,” Finnerty clarified.

“I can’t say that on national television,” Habba replied jokingly. “I would, I would honestly, at this point, you know she’s in so deep. Her press conference says it all. I would tell her to show me that no one is above the law and start applying the law to her own.”

Then Finnerty asked: “Since you hooked on with the former president and started representing him, your career has skyrocketed. I think Alina Habba is now it’s a household name. Really? But you’re young. You’re young in your career. How concerned are you about what this could mean for your reputation down the road?”

“In terms of what?” Habba asked.

“Well, there are a lot of attorneys out there that no longer want to represent the former president. Right or wrong. I’m not casting judgment right or wrong because of what it — the implications it has for their careers. And you’ve got a bright future seemingly,” Finnerty replied.

“I have to tell you the truth, I wouldn’t do anything differently,” Habba said, adding:

I’m so proud of the work that I’ve done. And any attorney who reads transcripts and looks at the rulings that we got before we got into court, evidentiary rulings, things like that, losses that have happened. And we’ve had wins, many wins, but nobody reports them. But the losses that have happened are not a result of the facts not being on our side or bad lawyering.

They are a result of the fact that he is the leading candidate for the Republican Party and, frankly, for president in general. So I can say that, look, trolls will be trolls, and I would never change a thing. I am proud of the work I’ve done, and it is truly an honor to work for a sitting, a former president, and, a future president again. So as for anybody else that has an issue with that, that can’t see through that, you’re just, you’re you’re not looking at the big picture here. We’re changing the country and fixing the country, and I’m proud to be part of that mission.

Habba also talked about aspects of the civil case that she believed were highly improper, all of which she predicted would help her client win an appeal.

Meanwhile, during an appearance on Fox News with host Sean Hannity last week, Habba spoke about Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Joe Biden’s mishandling of sensitive documents after Hur decided not to file any charges against the president.

Hur’s documentation of Biden’s substantial loss of mental capacity will also renew arguments among what is now a large majority of Americans — based on the most recent surveys — that they do not believe the president can serve another four-year term, much less serve out his current term.

Habba cited the report to demand that charges “absolutely” need to be dropped against Trump.

“I think the one thing that we learned today from special counsel her is that there is, in fact, and not that we didn’t know it. Sean. Two systems of justice. One, if you’re a Republican, one if you’re a Democrat. We’ve seen it time and time again. You’ve spoken of it the way that this can be used,” she said.

“They need to drop charges and let Americans believe that we’re not going to be treated differently depending on our politics. I don’t think they’re capable of it. I think they have severe Trump Derangement Syndrome,” she added.
