Joe Biden is finally going to East Palestine.
He is scheduled to travel there over a year after the derailment took place.
Trump went to visit the residents last year.
The Hill reported:
President Biden will travel to East Palestine on Feb. 16, a little more than a year a since the derailment of a Norfolk Southern train carrying toxic chemicals near the town.
“(T)he President will travel to East Palestine, Ohio to discuss how the Administration is continuing to work with state and local officials to hold Norfolk Southern accountable and support the community as it moves forward,” the White House said in an advisory Saturday.

The president has faced criticism from Republicans for not making the trip to the Buckeye State town, with his main rival for the 2024 presidential race, former President Trump, visiting East Palestine in February of last year to bring supplies and offer support to the community.
Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) recently noted concerns about the situation from constituents in the area.
Donald Trump responded on Truth Social saying “Biden should have gone there a long time ago.”

It was such a great honor to be with the people of East Palestine immediately after the tragic event took place. I got to know so many of the people, in particular the wonderful Mayor, Trent Conaway. Biden should have gone there a long time ago—for him to go now is an insult to those who live and work in East Palestine, and the Great State of Ohio, itself. I can’t believe anyone wants him there? I know he doesn’t want to be there, and even he knows he is making a mistake, because he is pandering to people who are smart, politically savvy and, unfortunately, badly hurt by Biden’s in-actions and lack of caring. It will be so interesting to see how they meet and greet this FRAUD, and the THUGS that surround him!
