Canadian MMA fans broke out into chants of “f**k Trudeau” during Saturday’s UFC 297 prelims in Toronto.

The chants could be heard at multiple points throughout the night, though they appeared to be at their loudest during the featured prelim bout between Brad Katona and Garret Armfield.

Canada’s far-left prime minister was also mentioned in the pre-fight buildup, with former UFC Middleweight champion Sean Strickland heavily criticizing a reporter he perceived to have voted for Trudeau.

The reporter, MMA writer Alexander K Lee, asked Strickland about his past “anti-gay” and “transphobic” comments. When Strickland replied by asking if Lee voted for Trudeau, the reporter refused to answer. “A man says he’s not going to say, like you ask a motherfu**er; ‘Did you vote for Biden?’ He’s like, ‘well, I’m not going to say, that’s none of your business.’ He voted for f**ing Biden,” Strickland said.

He went on to call the reporter an “infection” and everything wrong with the modern world, much to the dismay of left-wing MMA journalists who called for his suspension.
