Iowa’s Republican voters — facing bitter winter weather — are nevertheless “anxious to fire Joe Biden” as they head for caucus voting around the state on Monday, Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, told Newsmax.

In a morning interview on “National Report,” Hinson praised the enthusiasm and grit of voters.

“It is such a unique process. And I think the great thing about Iowa going first in the nation is that you really get a sense for the authenticity, you get the accessibility and transparency from all of these presidential candidates,” she said.

“What the Iowa process means is that you can be having a beer with a candidate in your basement. You can be hanging out with them eating … fried food on a stick at the Iowa State Fair, and you can do all that and ask those really tough questions,” she added.

Hinson said although there’s “a lot of enthusiasm” for former President Donald Trump with Iowa Republicans, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley have both been campaigning around the state.

One thing is clear, she said: “The excitement on the ground for firing Joe Biden.”

“I heard you say the numbers about his approval rating,” she said. “I certainly believe that he’s in the low 30s and maybe even lower here in Iowa. He’s failing our country, whether it’s the border policy, energy policy, Bidenomics policy that’s making life more expensive and harder for every American.

“That’s what Iowans are united in no matter or who the Republican nominee is,” she continued. “We’re excited to make sure that we no longer have President Biden and Vice President (Kamala) Harris.”
