Dems Fighting ‘Rural Rage’ Is Like America ‘Fighting Terrorism’ – Trump News Today

Former MSNBC host and radical leftist Chris Matthews made the shocking suggestion that the Democrat government of President Joe Biden should combat “rural rage,” against “the liberal establishment, the coastal elite,” in a manner “like fighting terrorism.”

As reported by Fox News, Matthews told ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough that the backlash against Biden is mainly “rural rage.”

“I think people who grew up in the blue-collar counties of Philadelphia are going to decide the election,” he began.

“But it is going to be tough because people who didn’t go to college have a pretty good rage on their hands. That’s what you really want in an election is a rage. It can be black rage, or white rage, or rural rage. In this case, it is rural rage.”

“They are so angry at the liberal establishment, the coastal elite. They look at people on television, ‘Oh those people on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ those snarling rich kids, I know who they are. They are all trust funders. They don’t worry about us.’And the regular guys in the country go, ‘There they are snarling and making fun of us again,’ and every time we make fun of Trump, we’re making fun of them. It’s a weird thing.”

Matthews continued, “But in a way, it’s like fighting terrorism.”

He added, “I mean, you know, we think we just put the army in, or Israel just puts the IDF and they’re going to solve the problem. It never solves the problem. Because you enrage people. And we did it with Afghanistan, and we did it with Iraq.”

Matthews even went on to characterize rural, Trump-supporting Americans as “the enemy,” saying “We enrage the enemy to the point where they’re more fiery than ever, and they hate us more than ever. Armies don’t make peace. And we think they do.”

Matthews, 78, resigned from MSNBC in 2020 after a series of scandals rocked his primetime show ‘Hardball,’ after he was reportedly asked to step down according to CNN. The outlet cited numerous complaints of “inappropriate conduct” towards women as a potential cause, with other gaffes such as publicly misidentifying African American guests and even accusing Bernie Sanders of running a Nazi-esque campaign.

Four years after his controversial ‘retirement’ Matthews is still known to make the odd appearance on MSNBC panels and programs and his increasingly extreme rhetoric that have some comparing him to once-relevant leftist pundit Keith Olbermann.

As X commentator News Nancy wrote, “Remember ‘felt this thrill up my leg’ Chris Matthews? Chris is now comparing rural Americans to terrorists. Mathews joins the ranks of Keith Oberman, washed up and desperately trying to stay relevant.”
