Taylor Lorenz To Skip Fourth Christmas In A Row, Blames ‘Selfish People’ Who Don’t Wear Masks – Trump News Today

Social media journalist and author Taylor Lorenz took to Meta’s Twitter/X alternative Threads to announce that she will be skipping Christmas celebrations for the fourth consecutive year due to COVID concerns. Lorenz — who gained widespread infamy for revealing the identity of the Libs of TikTok account owner — blamed “selfish people” who refuse to wear masks or take the virus seriously.

Lorenz has long stated that she has an illness that elevates her risk to COVID-19 and has continued to mask for a number of interviews, flights and other gatherings.

On Friday, Lorenz responded to another Threads user who was discussing COVID-19 mitigation strategies. “Totally agree with you on the mitigation advice, but I very much judge anyone who participates in the social murder of disabled people just because it’s ‘the holidays.’ Many of us who are high risk are missing our FOURTH Christmas because other selfish people can’t be bothered to mask and take basic precautions that allow us to safely participate in public life,” Lorenz wrote.

“They don’t feel enough shame and judgement (in my opinion), instead infection has been fully normalized.”

Lorenz has long called for pandemic-era COVID measures such as masking and “social distancing” to be reinforced, even after those measures proved ineffective. She has also criticized the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) for relaxing guidelines and has called on the federal government to censor questioning of COVID mitigation efforts.

The Washington Post reporter has claimed she is “disabled” since at least 2022 and has claimed she has PTSD from online “harassment.”

“Literally what is the plan for high risk/medically vulnerable and disabled people? Just let us die while the world marches on??” Lorenz wrote in an X post. ”

“The same ppl complaining non stop abt the ‘mental health’ cost of lockdowns (even though we never had full lockdowns) & having to wear masks, are perfectly happy to force disabled ppl to stay locked away forever or keep an N95 glued to their face every time they step into public,” she added.

Lorenz went on to state that those with disabilities “shouldn’t have to risk their lives to participate in society” and said the move to axe lockdown measures is “horrific on such a massive scale.”

“Disabled/medically vulnerable ppl shouldn’t have to risk their lives to participate in society, nor are most even given that choice. Disabled people also have to work, go to school, grocery shop, go to the doctor’s office. We are human beings in the world just like everyone else,” she said.
