Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Endorses Donald Trump – Trump News Today

Black Lives Matter Rhode Island chapter co-founder Mark Fisher has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. The endorsement, breaking from the typically left-leaning political affiliations associated with the Black Lives Matter movement, could signify a significant shift in the group’s political stance.

Fisher’s endorsement stems from his perception of the Democratic Party’s failures to adequately represent and support black communities. During a candid interview on Fox News, he expressed his disillusionment with the Democratic Party, citing “the duplicity of the Democrats (and) the hypocrisy” as key reasons for his shift in allegiance.

“A lot of people are misinformed,” Fisher said. “They don’t really understand because they don’t educate themselves on Donald Trump as a person and his history. But if they do that… it’ll be organic, because personally, I love the man.”

Fisher believes that the policies of the Democratic Party “strike at the heart of the black family and the nuclear family,” a statement that resonates with his concerns about the party’s impact on African-American communities.

What makes Fisher’s endorsement particularly noteworthy is his focus on Donald Trump as an individual, rather than the Republican Party as a whole. He argued that a lack of information and education about Trump’s policies and history has led to widespread misperceptions.

The relationship between BLM and Trump has been complex, as the movement and the former president had differing views and approaches to various issues. During Trump’s presidency, he often criticized the BLM movement and its protests, calling for “law and order” in response to riots and the use of divisive rhetoric.

“My message that (I) preach and that I thought is unity driven,” Fisher said. “I want to bring together all the marginalized groups from the margins and bring them to the center because we’re stronger together as one nation, indivisible, under God.”

The endorsement comes at a time when political polls indicate a growing support for Trump among black voters. From 8% in 2020 to 22% in 2023, the numbers suggest a shifting political tide, one that Fisher believes can be attributed to a more informed electorate and the outreach of educated leaders.

Fisher’s call for unity and his endorsement of Trump challenges the conventional political narratives pressed by the Left. The endorsement can be added to the list of reasons why Trump is currently soaring in the polls.

This sentiment has begun to transcend party lines, with a notable portion of Democrats and a majority of independents expressing their reservations about Biden’s candidacy in 2024. The data suggests an undercurrent of political fatigue and a desire for change, even among those who traditionally support the Democratic Party.

The latest Harvard CAPS-Harris shows Trump in a dominant position over President Joe Biden in a potential rematch.

The outlook for Trump appears much more favorable than Biden’s. Polls show an evenly split opinion, with 50% of voters supporting the idea of Trump running again in 2024.

The figure is significant considering the polarizing nature of Trump’s presidency and the intense political divisions it fostered. Data indicates that Trump’s base remains steadfastly loyal, a factor that could prove crucial in the 2024 election.
