An attorney and spokeswoman for former President Donald Trump is dismissing the threat of him being subpoenaed by a lawyer on behalf of his first son, Hunter Biden, calling it “ridiculous.”

In an interview with Fox Business Network host Maria Bartirom, Alina Habba was asked to respond to Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Howell, who accused Trump of making “a plethora of public statements calling for an investigation or possible prosecution of Mr. Biden” while in office and out of office.

“Is President Trump expecting a subpoena from Hunter Biden?” Bartiromo asked.

That led Habba to chuckle before she responded.

“If they’re going to put my client on the stand—and I have heard this—to discuss Hunter Biden, go ahead,” Habba said. “Obviously, it’s ridiculous. They’re trying to intimidate and trying to say, ‘If you’re going to attack our kid, we’re going to put you on the stand.’ For what? Saying things that we’ve seen pictures of? Checks that have come from (China)? Drugs? Videos? Hookers?

“I mean, I’m not really sure what their angle is there,” Habba continued.”  (See video below)

Earlier, Habba took verbal shots at New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought a $250 million civil fraud case against Trump after campaigning on ‘getting’ him while he was still in office.

In an interview with Breitbart News on Saturday on SiriusXM, attorney Alina Habba claimed the Big Apple “is falling apart” while she pursues a civil fraud trial against Trump after she campaigned on a platform to “get” the then-president.

“She sits there. She sits there, usually takes a couple of notes, and then when there’s a moment to go out to the press, she does her press,” Habba told the program.

“She is only there on high-profile days. She does not come any other day,” Habba said of James. “But she’s been there so much while the city is falling apart.

“But it’s quite telling as to what her priorities are as attorney general. And when you take that oath of office, your priority should not be yourself. Your priority should not be your politics. And it should not be trying to achieve a self-interested mission. It should be about taking care of the city,” Habba continued.

She also said James was “not that bright.”

“She’s just not that bright. I’m sorry, I have to say it,” she told Newsmax TV last week, adding that she doesn’t believe James has a good case. “I’ve seen their case; I’ve seen their lawyers. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the case, has already ruled in September that Trump was guilty of defrauding banks, but he’s been openly hostile to the former president and his legal team throughout the trial thus far.

“Just because a bank who’s giving you a loan says it’s worth what the loan amount is, which is what happens when anybody takes a loan out, they’re never going to say the real value,” she continued, per The Hill. “They’re going to say what they want to say and not a penny more, or what the loan amount is and not a penny more.”

“She needs to educate herself, maybe go to some — I don’t even know how to express how ridiculous this is,” Habba said. “It’s like being in a circus with a bunch of — I mean, what I want to say I can’t say on TV, but it’s crazy. You know, it’s just ridiculous. Anybody with a brain understands that this is just completely insane.”

When host Carl Higbie of Newsmax asked Habba if Trump could go to jail for breaking one of the gag orders, she said, “He’s protected by Secret Service, period.”

“So, I always tell people when they’re panicked, ‘Listen, he’s protected by Secret Service, number one. Number two, he did nothing wrong.’ So, when people go to jail, it’s because they’ve done something wrong. Do we have crooked situations in and out of court? Absolutely. Could they try? Probably, but it won’t work because there is still a trial process, there is still facts, and unfortunately, they’re not going to win on the facts,” she continued.

She added: “Secret Service will always protect President Trump. That’s the truth, they have to wherever he is, but it’s not even something we think about, to be honest, because this is all political. It’s really not— there’s no criminal acts that he’s done. There’s no civil wrongs that he’s done, unless making money for banks is a civil wrong all of a sudden.”
